Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tiny Play Dates ("we", "us") collects and uses information in the AI & Robotics Lab mobile app and companion service (simbaai.net). The app is intended for families; a parent or guardian creates and controls the account on behalf of the child.

1. Information we collect

• Account & profile: email address, a sign-in PIN, the child's name, parent's name, country, mobile number, and an optional bio and profile photo.
• Content you create: messages you send to our team, direct messages to friends, community posts, comments and likes, and any images you choose to attach in chat.
• Robot (kit) data: your paired device's settings (name, language, voice, model) and usage counts.
• Device & technical data: a push-notification token, device type/OS, app version, and diagnostic/crash reports.

We do not collect payment card details in the app — kit purchases are processed by Stripe on their secure checkout.

2. How we use information

• To provide the app: sign-in, profiles, chat, community, and pairing/using the DIY robot kits.
• To send notifications you'd expect (a team reply, a new message, a friend request, an order update).
• To keep the service safe and reliable (diagnostics, abuse prevention, support).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Children's privacy

Accounts are set up and managed by a parent or guardian, who consents to the collection described here on the child's behalf. Parents may review, edit, or delete their child's information at any time (see Section 6). We collect only what is needed to run the service.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app, under their respective privacy terms:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Google Firebase — push notifications and crash reporting.
• Stripe — payment processing for kit purchases.

5. Storage & international transfers

We operate in Singapore and Vietnam and use the providers above, which may store data on servers in other countries. We take reasonable steps to protect information in transit and at rest.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep information for as long as the account is active. You can delete your account and associated data directly in the app: Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, posts, messages, and pairing. You may also email us and we will action deletion.

7. Security

Access to data is protected by authentication and row-level security rules so users can only reach their own information.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by using the in-app controls or contacting us below.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
